JUNE 2004

Had another memorable gig at Zanie's a couple of weeks ago - by memorable, we mean their sound system sucks. Should have learned from the last time...

Getting plans in place for the next recordings- may do some here, some there- maybe some out east- still deciding.

Have to send out a big thanks to everyone who has been emailing us about when we're coming back here or there- mostly out east. We're trying to get the right clubs to visit when we go out again- so if you have any to suggest... bring them on!!!

Had a few who noticed Doug and Eric on Fox 59 here in Indy the other day on a early morning show jamming at one of their rich friends homes. By rich friends we mean- they had no idea who was jamming in their basement. Peace.......H6's

Second Quarter 2004

Had a great show a couple of weeks back opening for Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise at the Patio. Doug had a few too many Patron's- nothing new- his apologies to anyone he may have stumbled over. Thanks to everyone who made it out!

We've been busy into the wee hours of the mornings hashing out old material. Needless to say- we're ready to move on to the new stuff. For all of you who have been emailing- the goal is to have the next CD ready for release by the fall. We will keep you all up to speed with our progress.

We're still working on a short tour out east for later this summer so keep your eyes and ears open for us!!! Right on.

H6's

First Quarter 2004

After a long - much too long- hiatus, we're back with an update.

After four years, it's time for another change.

Chaz has left the band to start a new chapter in his life. After one last get together and jam, he moved down south to test the waters and women of sunny FLA. We wish him all the best- he's rolled in the dirt with this band from the beginning and we'll miss him. He is and always will be a great friend.

As a lot of you already know, Jason's out touring with UFO in support of their latest release. A few weeks ago we had a long talk with him about conflicting schedules and the difficulty we've always had with the band living here in Indianapolis and him in England. So now after four years with Jason, we've decided to move ahead with someone else. There are no hard feelings- and Jason, Doug, and Eric all remain good friends. Jason keeps a busy schedule, and with his newfound sobriety, he'll no doubt get even busier. So we wish him all the best, and we'll be keeping in touch with both him and Chaz.

There you go. Hopefully this has cleared things up for everyone now. To leave no doubt in everyone's mind- Healing Sixes continues on with its two main songwriters-Doug Henthorn and Eric Saylors.

Last week we had a killer first gig with our newest members- Jaydee on bass, and Wade Parish (who has come full circle) on drums. The band is kicking ass, and Wade and Jaydee bring a fresh new flavor and enthusiasm to the band. Look for new pics and updates here in a week or two..... seriously. Alright! Bring on the emails!!!!! Peace...........H6's

November 2003

Peace and Love to everyone out there paying attention to these updates. The Halloween show was a lot of fun- and as always a lot of tequila. Big thanks to all who showed up in or out of costumes.

Eric and Chaz are both nursing motorcycle injuries that seem to be gaining popularity within H6's. So show your love and send them your chicken soup and narcotics.

All of the new tunes we recorded while Jason was in town are finished and ready for some serious playback. Look for some samples here on the site very soon.

Got a couple of gigs coming up quickly that we have to mention. We will be playing a set at Legends in Ft. Wayne on Saturday November 29th as well as a show here in Indy at Tailgaters downtown with our friends Bramble Grit on Friday December 5th.

So come on and get it people!!!

Peace....H6's

October 2003 - Week 3/4

Happy Halloween people!! This past week we were busy getting the final bugs out of the show with Wade P. on the skin buckets. He's out of town all week but returns on Friday for our performance at Zanies Too here in Indianapolis. So it's a much needed week of rest for Eric, Doug and Chaz.

Had a good time last Friday playing a quick set with the Hypnotic Velvet Propellers- thanks to all of you who made it out on such short notice!!!

Been getting quite a few emails about our return to the east coast- we're working on a short tour sometime later this fall!!! Planning more shows in the midwest as well. Keep tuned in for updates!!!!

Have a great Halloween out there- see you Friday..................H6's

October 2003 - Week 2

Hello everyone- Chaz returns from his tropical paradise this week so we'll be back to full band rehearsals again getting ready for a Halloween gig here in town at Zanies Too. Doug's been playing bass at rehearsals while Chaz was gone- much to Eric and Wade's discomfort.

The weather's changing here in Indy and it always puts a weird vibe on us all. So who knows what might happen on the 31st. Seems like a week ago we were touring out east in the spitting snow on Halloween. How time flies- and where it flies it dries. OK- that's it for now......see you on Halloween..................H6's

October 2003 - Week 1

Just finished up six new tunes. We'll put a snippet or two up for everyone's listening pleasure soon. Chaz is out in the blue seas of the Caribbean for the next couple of weeks. Jason, as many of you have inquired, is back in England hired on to do some drumming for UFO's reunion album that will probably keep him busy for a while. So in the meantime, Doug and Eric are getting the dust out power trio style with our good friend Wade Parish on drums. With Jason busy in England, we'll be doing a show with Wade here in Indy on Halloween, and a few more out east later this fall. Wade kicks ass, he actually was our very first drummer-a great campfire story to tell sometime, and we'll be getting some pix up soon so everyone can feel familiar with him and his unit.

So come out and see us!!!!

Updating next week!!!!!

H6's

August 2003 - Weeks 2, 3 & 4

The dust has finally settled from our shows out east and the industrial strength recording sessions we had while Jason was in town. Managed to lay down the basic tracks for nine tunes in 3 days out at our friend Terrence's "state of the art" drinking facility. Just to quell any rumors- Jason stuck to Diet Coke.

As we said in our last update, the shows out east were great! We had an awesome time. We thank all of you who came out to see us!! We especially want to thank those friends who gave us Love and kept us out of the rain- Janet, Chi Chi, Tony, Karen, John, his folks who have a kickass B&B, and his Fathom bandmates!!!!!

We're finishing up the new material. We had a bit of a setback while Doug was recovering from a bad case of viral laryngitis- "sounded like the chick in the Exorcist"

But he's better now, so here we go!! We'll be updating again next week with more news on upcoming shows. Be cool out there.....................H6's

August 2003 - Week 1

Ah! EE! Ah! EE! from the Healing land! Back home after a couple of weeks of recording, traveling and playing live.

We had a good feeling about the new material but you'll never know how they'll go over until you get out and play them live. The response has been phenominal!

It was a fun and very successful venture!

Our first show kicked off here in Indy (Zanies Too). We opened the show with 3 new tunes and ROCKED the house!.

It was great to see all of the familiar faces back out in Landsford, PA and we made some new friends in Berwick, PA as well.

A giant thanks to John and all of the guys from the band Fathom. They were responsible for getting us out to Port Jefferson & Amagansett, NY. We can't thank you guys enough!!!

So that's all for now. Keep those emails coming and we'll get back to you real soon!

Be safe. Peace.

The 6's

June 2003 - Week 3

Hello people! We have some select shows coming up in July. Check out our tour dates area here on the site.

Scheduling more as time goes on so keep checking it!!

We're going to be recording here in Indy at an undisclosed triple top secret recording facility that we like very much. Maybe we'll get some photos to document the jam.

Keep those emails coming- we will try and get to everyone's questions eventually.

Peace......H6's

June 2003 - Week 2

Getting some plans together now for the last half of July.

Jason's flying over so we can get some decent recordings of the new material. After that's done we'll be heading out for a few select performances here in Indy and out on the east coast.

Our apologies to all who have been emailing us about playing out west- we are honestly trying to get there!!!

A little airplay would help!!! So we'll go into details next week!!!!!!!

Peace......H6's

June 2003 - Jason, Week 1

Hello to everyone out there! I've been in HELL trying to move for the last ten weeks. Feels more like ten years. It's taken it's toll but finally we're moving. I'll have some pictures of the move soon to show everyone.

My bike riding has stopped for the past eight weeks due to lack of concentration and crashing a lot. But I will return to the track as soon as I can put the paint brushes down.

I'm looking forward to getting out and playing because I am "on fire" right now!!!!

See you soon.........the loon.........JB

May 2003 - Doug, Week 4

Hello from Doug's world. Here is my page of self inflation. I survived my own birthday party last weekend with a little help from my friend Sauza Hornitos. Thanks go out to all of those who came and joined in the self indulgence.

I've been coming to grips with the fact that listening to the radio and watching MTV makes my balls hurt. I finally had my cable disconnected and got a portable CD player/adaptor for my 1990 Oldsmo-buick. I watch Seinfeld reruns and choose my own music in the car- this week it's James Brown-Live at the Apollo Vol. 3, ZZ Top- Deguello, and Rolling Stones- Tattoo You. It's awesome!!

So we got a mention in Guitar World Magazine's Led Zeppelin issue this month thanks to Kevin Shirley. I can't describe how good it feels or how humbling it is to be mentioned in an article featuring what I consider the greatest band of all time.

So that's it for me.

Later. D

May 2003 - Eric, Week 3

Hello, to all of you wonderful people that have been checking out the site for some time now. We really can't thank you enough!!!!! Because without you, what would be the point. So with that said, this is what's been happening in my life.

After recording the last batch of tunes, I say batch because it seems like we always have three or four arrangements rolling that we are working on. So if we get to a point where it doesn't groove, or set well with the direction of the lyrics, we just pick up and move on to the next idea. So then by the next rehearsal we all have ideas to bring to the table for that particular song. Then sometimes they just happen and we are able to create and arrange, record and move on.

With the last seven tunes in the bank, it has been time to get out and have some fun. I recently participated in a three hour go cart race here at Fast Times Racing in Indy. I have to say, "What a rush!"

I've also had a chance to get my dirt bike out of the garage and do some riding. My good friend Warren Brown, who sold me his old black-face Fender Super Reverb which I used on the last tour, has also set me up with a new KX-250 which has earned all of my respect!

It is an extremely fast bike. So everyone stay safe and keep the emails coming and we will see you soon.

Eric/H6's

May 2003 - Chaz, Week 2

Hello from Chaz's world! Where the nights are long and the Tequila flows deep. Keeping up with my steady diet of wine, women, and song. Have had a busy week of sonic bombast and little sleep. I recently acquired an old piano and have been learning to play old Beatle's tunes in my spare time, which has been a lot of fun, and good practice for my ear. I cannot wait to hit the road again to spread the gospel of good music.

I'm excited about Saturday night's accompaniment of Abigail, my art-school girlfriend. She's awesome, not to mention young and beautiful. So, that's cool.

You people are going to freak on the new material we have been laying down at the house. I feel it is the best to date. Hope you agree.

So that's "what's going on!" Until next time.

Cheers!

Chaz/H6's

May 2003 - Week 1

So this week we've been trying to sort out some snags in this summer's touring plans. Agents out west have kept us waiting for a package tour that was never apparantly off the ground to begin with.

Such is the life of a rock band on an independent label. Have no fear-we will be out doing our thing- and not according to any major label's marketing plan.

That's what we've always done- that's why we love what we do!!!

So the individual update thing is pushed back one week due to everyone's cold feet.

Any requests for who should start?

H6's

April 2003 - Week 4

Had an interesting long distance writing session with Jason this past week. Got some new ideas of his rolling over the phone- love that modern technology.

The CD seems to be doing well on CDbaby.com- thanks go out to all the cool reviews we've received there at the site so far.

Next week we're going to start having the band do these updates individually for a more intimate look at Healing Sixes. Hopefully we'll be able to answer some of your more personal inquiries that way.

Should be interesting.....or not at all. You decide.

Peace.

H6's

April 2003 - Week 3

Alright! Chaz is back from Mexico after a week of Tequila, bull fights, Mayan ruins, and a nice little ride with the "Policia"-who finally agreed to give him back his freedom for a couple hundred dead presidents.

Oh well! At least we know he had a good time. So three more new tunes finished this week "three in the bank!" One up-tempo straight ahead rock tune, a very cool album track and one that hints at some of our Free influence.

Right on!

'til next week.

H6's

April 2003 - Week 2

Many of you have inquired about Eric's picture in April's issue of Guitar Player Magazine...............and yes he welcomes all sponsors.

Well spring is finally here in Indy after a long hard winter. We all got more than we wanted by being on tour last fall on the east coast where the snow and sleet were hammering us by mid October. Nice to see the sun again.

This week Doug's finishing up some vocals on three new tunes we've worked up in the latest rehearsals. They don't suck.

Enormosound is now available through CDbaby.com for those of you who need to use a credit card. Those of you who already have it, check out their site and send in your own review for them to post. Spread the word people-we're not going anywhere!

'till next week...

H6's

April 2003 - Week 1

This week we'll be taking a break from our usual rehearsals at Chaz's house of love and high volume while he runs off to sunny Mexico for what is sure to be a week of high moral standards and responsibility.

We've put box sets of new material together since "Enormosound" was recorded- so a little break will do us good. With winter over, Eric and Jason have been doing their motorcross thing and trying not to break their wrists.

Eric went and saw our friend Tony Levin play here in Indianapolis last week and the show was "heavy". Plans are still in the works for a tour this summer out west as well as the east coast and hopefully Canada.

Of course we'll keep everyone up to speed as we get dates.

'til next week... Peace.

H6's

March 2003 - Week 4

Been way too long, but we're back!

The fall tour was great. Some highlights were BB Kings in NYC, Hard Rock in Toronto, and the small town of Lansford, PA where our friend Lou made us feel at home despite our run down and ragged state of health.

Ate our body weight in sushi (except Eric of course) with our Corazong/Canada Bushmills guru Karen and Evert (the Red Baron of Amsterdam) while in Toronto.

And how can we forget our stay with Karen's "beeyootiful" Grandmother Sonja in Pearl River, NY. She gave us beds and food and loved us like only a grandma could.

"Where did Rob and that other one go?" "It's 9:30 in the morning! You boys are sleeping your lives away!!!"

Saw some old friends/fans from the Tradewinds at the Stone Pony as well as old friends like Tom from NJ- Stevie D-Josette- Sack- Marius- way too many friends to mention! Thanks for the vibe people!!! We'll have pics from the tour up soon!!!

We've got so much new material together- and it blows the old stuff away!!!!!!! Look for some sound bites soon.

Putting a tour together for July and August that will take us out west again for all of you who have been emailing us from out there!!! Working on Canadian & European tours this spring and next fall as well. Keep the emails coming! We'll be updating weekly so check it out!!!!

Peace.

September - Oct 2002

Hello out there. Firstly, thanks to all for your many questions and comments. Looks like October is shaping up into something for us. "Enormosound" will be out in Scandinavia, Europe, and Canada by the middle of the month thanks to Evert Wilbrink and our friends at Corazong Records.

At the moment, we are putting together some dates for the eastern half of the states that will lead us into the great white north to the Toronto Hard Rock sometime early November. As we get dates confirmed we will post them. Apologies to all you Westerners- we will get out there again soon.

Alright, that's it for now but we will be updating very soon with more seedy intimate details relating to your questions and comments here at the site.......Peace.
